Bethany Union is a non-profit charitable organization that exists for the purpose of establishing and maintaining subsidized housing for young women. Since its inception in 1890, Bethany Union’s purpose has been to make the institution essentially a “home away from home” and to provide a supportive, stable environment for young women to reach their full potential.

Women aged 18 – 30 are provided congenial housing, nourishing meals, and a supportive staff in an atmosphere that fosters and encourages a sense of community among diverse residents and staff. There are three staff members, including a live-in Resident Director.

The building is three adjoining townhouses, comprised of 18 dormitory bedrooms on Newbury Street in Back Bay, right in the heart of Boston. The rooms are mostly furnished with twin-size beds, a bookcase, a desk and a chair. Common areas consist of a dining room, a living room, a laundry room, a computer area, a T.V. room and a game room.

Bethany Union is conveniently located close to Berklee College of Music, Emerson College, Boston University, Northeastern University and a short ride via public transportation to Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and many other schools. It is within blocks of Green and Orange Line MBTA stops.
